For “aesthetic clinic near me” and “pico laser Orchard” searches, the map results often appear above the websites. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you show up there. It is free, and most clinics leave half of it empty.
Setting it up
- Name: your clinic's real trading name, exactly as on your signage and MOH licence. Adding keywords to the name breaks Google's guidelines.
- Primary category: choose the most specific option that fits, such as “Medical spa”, “Skin care clinic” or “Cosmetic surgeon”, depending on what you are licensed to provide.
- Secondary categories: add the others that genuinely apply.
- Address and service area: include the unit number and building name.
- Hours: keep public holidays updated.
- Website link: link to your home page, or to a location page if you have several clinics.
Services and products
Add each treatment as a service with a short, factual description. These descriptions can surface in searches for the treatment.
We build clinic websites that follow every point in this guide. Book a free 30-minute consult or see our packages.
Photos
Upload real photos of the exterior, reception, treatment rooms, equipment and team. Avoid before-and-after images: your profile is an advertisement too.
Posts and updates
Use posts for clinic news, new treatments, opening hours and educational content. Keep them factual, with no superlatives, urgency or prescription drug promotions.
Reviews
Patients can leave Google reviews, and you can reply to them. Reply politely and never disclose patient information in a reply. Check MOH's current guidance before reproducing reviews elsewhere, such as on your website or social media.
Consistency with your website
Your profile and website should use identical clinic details, and your website should carry matching schema markup. We set this up on every clinic website and manage the profile on Growth and Premium plans.
