In Singapore, many patients would rather message than call or fill in a form. A WhatsApp button often becomes a clinic's busiest enquiry channel, so it deserves a proper setup.
Use a business account
WhatsApp Business gives you a clinic profile with address and hours, quick replies, labels and away messages. Avoid staff personal numbers.
Pre-fill the first message
A link like wa.me/65XXXXXXXX?text=… can open WhatsApp with a message ready, such as “Hi, I'd like to ask about pico laser.” It tells your team which page the patient came from.
We build clinic websites that follow every point in this guide. Book a free 30-minute consult or see our packages.
Response times
Agree who answers, during which hours, and how quickly. Set an away message that says when you'll reply.
From chat to booking
Confirm bookings in your clinic system, not just in chat, so appointments, reminders and records stay in one place.
Privacy
Ask patients not to send medical photos or details until the clinic arranges a secure way. See our PDPA guide.
On the website
Place the WhatsApp button on every page, within thumb reach on phones, and alongside online booking and an enquiry form for patients who prefer those.
